Terms for Volunteer Opportunities at HIYC:
Volunteering opportunities at HIYC in Dharamkot and North Goa
HIYC offers a variety of fulfilling Volunteer Opportunities for students who wish to continue longterm study with us but for whom funds are a problem. Join our dedicated team in the following capacities for at least 3 months:
Graphics & Multi-mediaAudio Recording Equipment/Video
Camera Operator
Audio and Video Editor
Graphic Designer
Photographer
Teaching Exchange
School teacher work experience required for, 4/5 year old kids in exchange for yoga classes/courses for minimum 3 months and possibly a long term commitment
Yoga Weekend & 5-Day Courses Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre
IT/Web/Social Media Sites
Facebook/Twitter Content Manager
Youtube/ Vimeo /Google+ Content Manager
Writer (articles, descriptions, reviewing written contents, transcriptions)
DTP Operator
Other Volunteering Tasks
Promotions putting posters and fliers around the area
Gardening, handy-work around the Centre
Please bear in mind that we do not always need someone to fill these roles. We will try to fit you according to your skills and our availability. 3 months is the preferred minimum time for volunteering, however, shorter term applications will be considered.
HIYC Volunteering exchange
Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre (HIYC) in Dharamkot, Dharamshala and Arambol, North Goa.
In exchange for 5-Day Yoga Course: 2,5 hours per day 6 days per week or 3 hours per day 5 days per week of volunteering activities (15 hour per week total).
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
No food or stay is provided during the volunteering at our Dharamkot or Goa Centre. The volunteering work is in exchange for the course only.
If you are coming as a completely new student you will need to complete the first 5-Day Yoga Course at your own expense before you begin the volunteering exchange. During this first week we will introduce you to the Sharat Arora Yoga Method. If you connect with the practice and wish to stay you may continue as a volunteer with us for a minimum of 1 month.
