“Special Yoga Course for Vipassana Meditators” at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre
3 - 16 June 2019 at the Dharamkot Centre, Dharamsala
During the Special Yoga Course for Vipassana Meditators, we explore different techniques for sitting comfortably and straight over extended periods of time, without creating long-term back, knee or hip problems. For those meditation practitioners already suffering from injuries, we teach how to heal them with intelligent movements, aligned positions and how to avoid "forcing" in the wrong direction.
The other aspect of the course deals with energizing and rejuvenating poses, and combining the Practice of Meditation with Relaxing Yoga Positions. These tools are very helpful for extremely busy people who cannot afford to spend several hours a day Practicing Vipassana, in addition to a separate Yoga Practice.
The course consists of 2.5 – 3.5 hours class in the morning and 1 hour class in the evening, daily. There will also be one group sitting per day. This Course is specially designed for Vipassana Meditation Practitioners. If you aren’t practicing Vipassana Meditation or you are practicing other meditation technique, please enquire by email at [email protected] before-hand if it’s possible for you to join this Special Course.
No prior Yoga experience is required.
